Free way for newbies to learn copywriting (2/2)

If you're an intermediate/expert copywriter this email REALLY isn't for you.

How To "Git Gud" At Copy Without Paying For It - PART TWO

Yesterday's email outlined two things to do, in order to "git gud" at copywriting without paying for it.

The next step lets you use insights you gather from step 1.

START

YOUR

OWN

EMAIL

LIST.

And then email it frequently.

'cause if you can write content/ads that drive traffic to a landing page

and you can write a landing page that actually converts interested traffic

and you can set up a welcome sequence

and you can come up with ideas for read-worthy emails on a frequent basis

and you can get people to open those emails

and you can get people to START reading those emails

and you can get people to read all the way to the dang bottom

and you can get people to click...

Then you're an email copywriter.

(Well, a beginner copywriter, but one who has EVERYTHING you need to improve as fast as possible without paying for anything and without access to a mentor)

Got an idea you want to test?

Send an email.

Got a thing you want to sell?

Send an email.

Got a technique you want to practice?

Send an email.

Heck, send a LOT of them until you that technique finds its way into your working habits.

Seriously ma' dudes and dudettes...

Why do you think this email list is called The Copywriting Playground?

'case it was started with the express purpose of noodling around and giving myself a 'sandbox'.

And honestly I've never had more fun writing copy, than when I'm writing to you.

Running your own email list gives you first-hand experience with testing copy, with the research, checklists and processes you need to keep improving based on data.

Running your own email list lets you experience first hand how easy it is to grow a list of freebie seekers, and hard it is to get them to pay for anything.

Running your own email list lets you experience how small a percentage of your customers drive all your revenue and how much it pays off to just keep appeasing THOSE people.

Running your own list gives you experience developing offers.

Running your own list gives you experience writing sales letters, upsells and follow up sequences.

Running your own list makes you not only a copywriter, but a small-scale email list manager.

And that's EXCELLENT positioning when you're out grazing for clients.

And IF you want to see the exact zany email framework I used in the begining to attract a lot of excited subscribers, then check this out

TOODLES!

The AMAZING Netflix show Pantheon tells the story of a never-before-seen kind of AI that threatens the future of mankind. It turns out this new breed of ultra-powerful AI has a built-in flaw that not only makes them erratic… It also makes them dangerous! Now… One of the reasons I’m a big fan of scifi shows rated 8.5+ on IMDB… Is that I get to sit on my couch, make navel lint sculptures and daydream about my beloved Seattle Kraken making the NHL playoffs again… …because I know this Netflix...

Thousands upon thousands of newbie copywriters have leaned on “Copywork” (hand-copying ads to learn how to sell with words) to grow their skills I was fooled too. Some have even spent 497 American monies, out of their OWN pocket on a course called… *Cough* HourCopy… (…Or something that sounds VERY close to that anyway.) Which is a program where you spend a whole hour hand-copying winning ads… Every… Single… Day. But there’s something online copy gurus hide from you Firstly because selling...

Today you’re getting the closest thing you can possibly get to a “magic bullet” that will make goal achievement automatic rather than something you slave over.Which I'm guessing comes in handy if you understand that there's a connection between being excellent at your craft and raising your rates to reach your financial goals. Anyways... Last Thursday a marketing mastermind member asked: “How long does it take you to develop a habit?” And in my usual: I’m-here-to-help-not-to-please style I...
